The Changeover Phase
Giving up sugar wasn't a big deal or a heroic act.
It was uncomfortable for the first few weeks. Energy went down. Habits didn't want to change. The body required some time to get back to normal.
Then something small happened.
Chaos began to give way to clarity.
Mornings seemed less hectic and more relaxed.
Uninvited mid-day crashes stopped happening.
Thoughts were constant, not all over the place.
It was easier to make decisions and less likely to second-guess them.
It wasn't about getting things done.
It was for peace of mind.
What Replaced Sugar (and Worked)
It wasn't willpower that helped me stay constant.
It was picking foods that helped with both energy and mental clarity.

My Own Rule
Even today, I follow one simple rule:
Keep any food that helps you focus after you eat it.
If it makes you less smart, ask it.
It's not always about adding supplements, routines, or techniques to get mental clarity.
Sometimes it comes from getting rid of things that quietly mess up your system every day.
A Soft Reflection
Cleaning in the spring isn't just for houses.
It's also for habits that we've gotten used to without thinking about them.
If you've ever had brain fog, unexplained tiredness, or mood swings, it could be a good idea to pay attention to not only how much you consume but also how it affects your thoughts.
Have you ever eaten something that made your thoughts feel different from your body?
